Shetland helicopter crash, prayers asked

News has come in tonight about a helicopter crashing in the sea to the west of Sumburgh – about three or four miles offshore. Since the initial news, fifteen people have been rescued thanks to the bravery of the emergency services.

We pray for the safety of all those who are missing as we pray for those who have been rescued.

Tonight, as we go to bed, and in the morning, I urge everyone to pray to Our Lady, Star of the Sea, that she will watch over all who are involved whether as rescue worker or those lost.
